Please see our Welcome page for details of changes to our normal schedule during this time of isolation.
On Sundays during the summer months you'll find us bright and early at the Whykdyke Car Boot Sale with our red prayer tent. Pop by for a chat anytime between 7.30am and noon.
At 4.30pm, we meet for worship at Tarnside Community Centre. The service is open to everyone. It's an informal interactive communion service with singing, bible reflection, prayers and followed by brews and biscuits. There is a Sunday School called Lighthouse for children who leave the main service after the first song and return to receive communion.
Social Seniors is a friendship and socialising group for the more senior members of the community. But do not let them fool you into thinking they are boring! So far, we've had a go a line dancing, paper aeroplane making, dancing to 60s music and generally laughing together. Don't worry, it's all optional, but there's always a brew, a decent biscuit and plenty of friendly faces. It's every Monday at Tarnside from 1pm to 2.30pm and it's free!
Mereside Community Gospel Choir meet every Monday from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at Tarnside Community Centre. New singers are always welcome. You don't have to be able to read music - just enjoy singing! Find out more on our Facebook choir page.

We meet every Tuesday from 10am to 11am at the Toby Carvery on Preston New Road for our weekly chat and catch up. There's no plan, just a lot of chat and laughter. Pay for your own coffee or tea and join us as we make new friends, learn more about each other and share some time together.
At 6pm we meet at Freedom House for 'Warriors', our weekly prayer meeting. If you'd like us to pray for you then please get in touch via our prayer page.
MYPlace is our youth group, standing for Mereside Youth Place. It is a space for our high school aged young people to get together and learn more about their faith. We have teaching and socials, meeting on Tuesdays from 7pm - 8.30pm, every week! We again have some wonderful volunteers who help out, as well as adding their own experience to the teaching parts!
Every Tuesday from 7pm - 9pm men gather in the garage of Freedom House for Shed Men. We get together and make stuff from wood. All newcomers are welcome. If you want to find out more then ask Pete.
Capacity is our weekly bible study group where we grow together in discipleship learning about the bible and it's application to our daily lives. We meet at Freedom House at 7pm and you can switch which group you come to depending on when your availability - there's always cake!
Generation is for those aged 18 to 30. We study the same material as the other group but look at how it fits our lives. We meet at 7.30pm in Freedom House.
Every Thursday at 2pm we have a Quiet Communion service at Tarnside. This is a reflective and gentle formal service with silence to listen to God. It normally lasts about 30 minutes. Everyone is welcome.
We have our Free Wheelers bike group where we go for a cycle ride for an hour to and hour and a half. It's fun in the fresh air with friends. All cycling abilities are welcome and help can be provided if you don't think you're bike is in tip-top condition. Find us on Facebook for the details of our next ride.
