Freedom Friends
Monday 1:30-3pm

This is a fun group primarily for people in their 50's and over to attend. However, anyone is welcome to attend and join in! There is lots on offer to keep you entertained such as, crafts, live music, line dancing, guest speakers and trips out. 

     


Choir

Mereside Community Choir
Monday 7:30-9:30pm

Do you have a voice that needs to be heard? Would you like to spend time with like minded people singing and having fun? Then this is the group for you. Newcomers are more than welcome and no experience necessary. There are even some opportunities to tour and sing for the public!


cowboyLine Dancing
First and Last Tuesday of every month 7pm (Back in 2026)

Line dancing  is a fun and welcoming way for people of all skill levels to enjoy music, movement, and community. The sessions provide a friendly, inclusive space to learn new routines, meet others, and stay active. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced dancer, the classes offer a relaxed, supportive environment that encourages social connection and enjoyment.

Join us for an intimate evening of worship at Freedom Church Mereside. This is a relaxed, agenda-free gathering where you can come as you are—no sermon, no pressure, just a space to connect with God through music and prayer. Whether you're seeking stillness or freedom in your expression, this is a welcoming environment for all.

Wednesday 12:30pm - 2:00pm

Would you like a safe, supportive space to bring your child so that they can play and you can have some respite? This  group is fun and welcoming to anyone with children up to 4/5 years old (kids not in preschool). There are different activities every week - some messy, some educational. Something to suit every child. Grab a brew, have a chat and watch the little ones have fun. 



Bible Study- Advent Course (the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe)advent
Wednesday 7:30pm

Running on Wednesdays from 26th November to 17th December, we’ll explore themes of hope, courage, and redemption from C.S. Lewis’s beloved story and how they connect with Advent. Don't worry if you haven't heard the story before- clips of the film and book will be shown each week!


woollyWoolly Wafflers 
Thursday 10:00am - 11:30am

Do you have a knack for crafting? Love knitting, crocheting, needle felting and all things wool? Or perhaps just fancy a real good chuckle? Then this is the group for you! Beginner and experts welcome, new projects or old. Someone is always willing to lend a hand to show you something new or just encourage you along the way. A good brew, good company and wool. What could be better?

Quiet Communion
Thursday 12:00pm - 12:30pm

This is an opportunity to join together and reflect on God's word. A peaceful, reflective service. This is open to anyone to join. If you feel in need of some mid week refreshing and renewal then why not give this service a try?

Friday 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Did you know that singing is good for your mental health and well-being? This group is guaranteed to bring you laughter and joy no matter what you sound like! No really, you don't have to be any good at singing to join this group. Just join in and enjoy belting out a fun song!



Book Club


Freedom Readers Book Group

1st Friday of every month 09:30am - 11am

We are a group of like minded folk who like to get together over a coffee, to discuss different books, of different genres and then choose a new book to read through the following month and then discuss and repeat. If you are a book worm and have a love of reading, you would be more than welcome to join us.

Come and join us in a joint effort in making creative banners for the walls of our Church. Freedom Banner group offers a friendly and safe space to be expressive through material, creating something that reflects our personality here at Freedom Church. Plus it's a great opportunity to socialise and chat together. All are Welcome.
